The thoracic outlet is the space between the collarbone and the first rib. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is a compression of the nerves and/or blood vessels that affects the brachial plexus (nerves that pass into the arms from the neck). This compression causes pain, numbness, tingling and/or weakness in the arm and hand. A lot of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome are actually misdiagnosed cases of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
